"Pain makes man think. Thought makes man wise. Wisdom makes life endurable." Marlon Brando’s Character “Sekine-san” from the movie: “Tea House of the August Moon.”
Stripes Okinawa
Stripes Okinawa is a weekly supplement of the regular Stars and Stripes Newspaper. The articles are considered light news so these stories are neither political nor hard news. Each week I travel around this island to look for places of interest and fun things to see or do and then write about them. I enjoy it a lot and I hope that it translates into fun reading for the public. (Click here) to see the latest issue on-line.
Photo Essays:
I really enjoy observing and documenting the rich history and culture of Okinawa. As a result of this, I've put together a series of photo essays which are posted on the "JPG," "Everywhere" and "Things Asian" websites: (Click here) for JPG Magazine (Click here) for Everywhere Magazine or (Click here) for Things Asian.
When you view these photo essays, be sure to click on the individual pictures for more information. I sincerely hope you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoyed writting them!
Expatriate Games Blog (Updated 8/20/08)
Expatriate Games is my personal blog and was all about what is happening on Okinawa and related world news. I've decided to take it in a new direction. Here on Okinawa, the protests by a very few people seem to make headline news and commenting on the stupidity of the situation proved to be tiresome.
From now on we're taking the Expatriate Games Blog in a new direction. Instead of commenting on the stupidity of the political left, I'll be chronicling my adventures here as a freelance writer and photographer.
